Gas-grade PTFE thread seal tape is commonly used on compatible threaded metal fittings such as brass, steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel fittings.
The tape is applied to the male thread to help fill the gaps between mating threads and support a reliable, leak-resistant connection.
