Sunfilm® Skived PTFE Film

Delivering Reliable Electrical Insulation and Long-Term Protection Sunfilm® Skived PTFE Film is manufactured from 100% virgin suspension-grade PTFE resin through molding, sintering, skiving and calendering processes. Its dense and non-porous structure provides outstanding electrical insulation, high dielectric strength, excellent dimensional stability, low friction and superior resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures. The film is widely used in electrical insulation, wire and cable protection, semiconductor equipment, industrial sealing and other demanding applications requiring long-term electrical and mechanical reliability.

Sunfilm® Skived PTFE Film Has One Clear Purpose:

Reliable Electrical Insulation, Enhanced Mechanical Protection and Longer Service Life

Excellent Electrical Insulation

Provides stable electrical insulation under high voltage and demanding operating conditions, supporting long-term system reliability.

High Dielectric Strength

Withstands high electrical stress and helps reduce the risk of dielectric breakdown in critical insulation systems.

Dense PTFE Structure

The dense, non-porous structure provides excellent dimensional stability, mechanical strength and long-term durability.

Excellent Chemical Resistance

Resistant to fuels, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, acids, alkalis and most industrial chemicals.

Wear Resistance and Low Friction

Excellent abrasion resistance and low friction help protect cables, components and contact surfaces from wear.

Long-Term Reliability

Maintains stable mechanical and electrical performance across temperatures from −190°C to +260°C.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Which industries commonly use Pipe Thread Sealant?
Pipe Thread Sealant is widely used in plumbing, HVAC, gas distribution, hydraulic systems, petrochemical plants, water treatment facilities, and industrial manufacturing.
    • How much pressure can Pipe Thread Sealant withstand?
Depending on the formulation and application, high-performance thread sealants can withstand pressures up to 69 MPa (10,000 psi).
    • What materials can Pipe Thread Sealant be used on?
It is suitable for most metal threaded fittings, including steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, and aluminum.
    • Can Pipe Thread Sealant replace PTFE Tape?
Yes. In many industrial applications, Pipe Thread Sealant can replace PTFE Tape and provide a more reliable and durable seal.
    • What is the difference between Pipe Thread Sealant and PTFE Tape?
PTFE Tape mainly fills thread gaps mechanically, while Pipe Thread Sealant forms a chemical seal after curing, providing higher pressure resistance, better vibration resistance, and long-term sealing performance.
