Sunfilm® Skived PTFE Film

Its pores are significantly smaller than liquid water droplets while allowing air and water vapor to pass through. This enables continuous airflow and rapid pressure equalization while helping prevent water, dust and contaminants from entering sensitive electronic enclosures.Sunfilm® ePTFE Protective Vent Membrane is manufactured from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene with a highly uniform three-dimensional microporous structure.Its pores are significantly smaller than liquid water droplets while allowing air and water vapor to pass through. This enables continuous airflow and rapid pressure equalization while helping prevent water, dust and contaminants from entering sensitive electronic enclosures.Optional oleophobic treatment provides enhanced resistance to oils, fuels and other low-surface-tension liquids, making the membrane suitable for automotive electronics, consumer electronics, medical devices, industrial equipment, outdoor systems and energy-storage applications.
