How should GasSafe PTFE thread seal tape be applied?
Clean the male threads and begin wrapping slightly back from the pipe end. Apply the tape in the tightening direction with firm, even tension and sufficient overlap. Assemble and tighten the connection according to applicable installation requirements, then perform an approved leak test before putting the gas system into service.
